The Octogramulus

I wanted to expound upon the simple process of creasing strips of paper and challenge the possibilities of this minimal geometry.

Using simple strips of paper I created a towering array of an octagonal stars called octgrams which when viewed through one end create an axially symmetrical oculus . I call this the Octogramulus. It is both a tower and a telescoping aperture.

The design combines both analogue, manual folding and taping along with digital computational modeling through Grasshopper in Rhino
