Point Driven Pistons

The initial take on this final exercise was that of “Point Driven Voids

Taking feedback, the next step that was taken was to turn the initial iteration into something more 3-dimensional by way of extruding the voided areas out of the back of the main form.

This effect when looked at from the side looks almost like a piston, or a displacement of the main form through one side.

The way that light plays with the material, as well as the visual gradient the voids and extrusions give create a simple yet beautiful look.
